• Forestry Mulcher Rotor Balancing

  We recently reconditioned and rebalanced this FAE forestry mulcher for Greenfields Countryside Ltd.  They came to us with a machine suffering from extensive machine vibration.  We diagnosed the problem as an out of balance rotor. We removed the rotor, installed it on our dynamic balancing machine, dynamically balanced the rotor and then reinstalled the rotor into the machine and ran it up to operating speed as part of our quality check process.  You can see the positive comments from Greenfields on our Facebook page.

  

  

  

• Agricultural Flail Mower Rotor Straightening

  A good customer of ours unfortunately mowed over a concrete bollard, bending the rotor shaft of the flail mower by 18 mm over a 3 metre span. Our solution included removing the rotor from the machine, straightening the rotor using our custom straightening rig and then dynamically balancing the rotor back to factory specifications and re-installing the rotor onto the machine for final testing.

  

  

  

• Fan Straightening

  We recently manufactured these fans for a biomass wood chip boiler to extract the dust from the boiler.  We manufactured the fans out of Raex steel due to the highly abrasive nature of the wood chip dust and then dynamically balanced them to industry standards.
